SevenFifty Daily Live From Chicago

The drinks community comes out in force for Too Legit to Spit

On Monday, SevenFifty and SevenFifty Daily transformed the Morgan Manufacturing building in Chicago into a throwback, block-party tasting event—Too Legit to Spit. More than 30 importers and distributors poured their top bottles, while over 300 buyers from around the city showed up to taste, dance, and party the night away.

SevenFifty Daily hosted a live version of its Supertasters blind tasting challenge, where guests competed for a $1,000 cash prize for identifying the white and red mystery selections. DJ Matt Roan brought the ’90s street-party vibe while Big Star, a local taco purveyor, passed around Frito pies, tacos al pastor, albondigas meatballs, and melon and jicama kebabs. Agave de Cortes, Mesh & Bone, and Angelisco shook up mezcal, sotol, and tequila margaritas at the back bar, as teams battled for cornhole and shuffleboard dominance nearby.

And did we mention the feather boas, bowler hats, and steady stream of shots? Peep our slideshow for the highlights.
