For more than four centuries, the Bottega family has cultivated a connection to the land in Italy’s Veneto region. Today, that heritage lives on through Bottega SpA and its signature Bottega Gold, a Prosecco DOC packaged in a distinctive gold bottle that continues to shape the modern expression of Italian sparkling wines.
An Italian icon, Bottega has a long and storied history dating back to the 17th century when Andrea Bottega began harvesting grapes in Refrontolo, a commune within the Venetian region of Treviso. However, the family-owned company’s modern identity didn’t take shape until 1977. Under the leadership of managing director Sandro Bottega, who joined the company following the death of his father Domenico Bottega, the company has expanded beyond the reach of Italy to become an internationally acclaimed brand appreciated by enthusiasts around the world.
Although Bottega’s production initially focused solely on grappa, today the company’s portfolio spans still and sparkling wines, spirits, and liqueurs. There are also non-alcoholic offerings and convenient, ready-to-drink options, including a lemon spritz and Negroni. Bottega products are versatile, fitting right in during aperitivo hours or long, satiating dinners.

Among the portfolio’s most recognized products is Bottega Gold. This fresh, lively Prosecco DOC signifies the brand’s premium positioning. Produced from Glera grapes that grow on hilly terrain close to the Venetian Prealps, the wine is defined by fine perlage, fresh aromas, and an elegant finish. Its dazzling metallic bottle has become a visual signature of the brand, garnering strong recognition across retail shelves, backbars, nightlife venues, and travel retail environments worldwide.
More than a packaging element, Bottega Gold has become a symbol of premium Italian sparkling wine, helping to elevate perceptions of the category and strengthen consumer appreciation.

Consistent quality and consumer appeal are Bottega hallmarks, and increasingly, so is sustainability. Building on Bottega’s centuries-old passion for the vine, respect for the land is paramount to the brand. A dedication to sustainability is exemplified in everyday initiatives like renewable energy, water recycling, organic farming techniques, certified supply chains, and biodiversity projects.
Recently, Bottega collaborated with Treedom, a B Corp-certified platform that allows people to plant trees remotely via a local farmer, then monitor its progress via a website. To date, Bottega has planted 500 trees across Ecuador, Tanzania, and Madagascar, reinforcing Bottega’s determination to protect the environment outside the confines of its own production. With such eco-conscious practices top of mind, Bottega embodies responsible growth.
